Description

JACQUET FINLAND offers stainless steel plates in various dimensions and thicknesses, suitable for a multitude of industrial applications. Our selection includes plates in various categories such as austenitic, duplex, refractory, superaustenitic, ferritic and martensitic stainless steels.

Austenitic stainless steels are renowned for their excellent corrosion resistance and ability to withstand high temperatures, making them ideal for applications in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. Their ductility and toughness enable them to adapt to extreme conditions while maintaining their integrity.

Duplex plates combine the properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, offering exceptional corrosion resistance and enhanced mechanical strength. They are particularly effective in corrosive environments such as petrochemicals and offshore applications.

Refractory plates are designed to withstand very high temperatures while retaining their structure. They are essential in the steel, foundry and heat treatment industries.

Superaustenitic plates are an evolution of traditional austenitic stainless steels, offering increased resistance to corrosion, particularly in chlorinated environments, making them ideal for marine applications or other demanding environments.

Ferritic plates are ideal for applications requiring good corrosion resistance while remaining cost-effective. They are often used in the automotive and household appliance sectors.

Finally, martensitic plates, which can be hardened by heat treatment, are often used in applications requiring high wear resistance and good resistance to deformation.

The diversity of our range can meet specific requirements, whether in terms of mechanical performance, corrosion resistance or thermal properties. We are committed to supplying high-quality products tailored to our customers needs, while ensuring fast, reliable availability.

The term “stainless steel” is a generic word including over 100 different types of alloys.

These alloys have one thing in common: thanks to their chromium content, they do not require surface protection to fight against the various types of corrosion. In fact, the chromium combined with the oxygen in the air and water creates a “passive layer” of oxide on the surface.

Stainless steels are divided into 4 main groups: austenitic, austeno-ferritic (Duplex), martensitic and ferritic. There are also families of stainless steels with specific characteristics: refractory heat-resistant steels, resistant to very high temperatures, and superaustenitic steels for extremely corrosive environments.

With chromium and nickel accounting for 15 to 26% and 5% to 25% respectively of their composition, stainless steels are generally non-temperable and non-magnetic.

The 18/10 inscription on a knife indicates a composition of 18% chrome and 10% nickel.
